Healthy Banana Recipes For Kids

1. Chocolate Banana Pancake: 

Who don’t love pancakes? Making Pancakes are easy and healthy with all the nutrition of banana present on it.

You Will Need:
  • All-purpose flour –  1 Cup
  • Cocoa Powder – 3 Tbsp
  • Baking Soda – 1/2 tbsp
  • Sugar – 3 tbsp
  • Baking Powder- 1 1/4 tbsp
  • Salt- 1/2 tbsp
  • Buttermilk – 1 Cup
  • Ripe banana – 1 large
  • Egg  – 1
  • Vanilla Extract – 1 tbsp
  • Vegetable Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Maple syrup or chocolate sauce for drizzling
  • Banana slices for garnishing
Method: 

Whisk cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, baking powder, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Take another bowl and mash the banana. Add the eggs, buttermilk, vanilla, and vegetable oil in it and mix well.

Pour wet ingredient into dry ingredients and mix well. Now heat a nonstick pan and pour a dollop of pancake batter on it.  Now cook the pancake until the sides are cooked well and on the surface, bubbles are formed.

Flip the pancake and cook for a few seconds. Your Banana Pancake is ready. Garnish with chocolate sauce and serve.

2. Banana Fritters: 

The best way to use your overripe banana is to make banana fritters. They are not overly sweet because they do not have any added sugar. Banana Fritters are fluffy, soft and can be eaten during breakfast, snack or desserts.

You Will Need:
  • Bananas – 6
  • Baking powder – 2 tbsp
  •  Plain flour- 1 cup
  •  Cold water – 1 ¼ cups
  •  Plain flour for dusting – ½ cup
  • Maple syrup for serving
  • Vegetable oil for deep frying
Method: 

Mix Baking powder and flour in a bowl and whisk with water. Mix until the mixture is lump free. Leave the mixture for 10 minutes. Cut the bananas into small pieces and dust in flour.

Now dip the banana in batter and put it into the hot oil. Fry the bananas until they are golden brown in color. Now take out the bananas and put it on the paper towel and dust some icing sugar. 

Your banana Fritters is ready. Serve it with ice cream or maple syrup.

3. Banana And Strawberry Smoothie:

Banana and strawberry smoothie is an easy and healthy drink for your kids. Your kids will love to have it daily. It is one of the best healthy banana recipes for kids

You Will Need:
  • Frozen, peeled and chopped Banana –  2
  •  Sliced strawberries – 1 cup
  • Orange juice – ½ cup
  • 1 carton of low-fat vanilla yogurt
Method:

Mix banana, strawberries, orange juice and vanilla yogurt in the blender and blend it until it acquires smooth consistency. Your smoothie is ready to serve.

4. Caramelized Banana:

Caramelized banana is a healthy and tasty dessert which is surely liked by your kids.

You Will Need:
  •  Banana – 2 medium-sized
  •  Butter- ½  tbsp
  • Orange juice – ¼ cup 
  •  Light brown sugar-3 tbsp
  • Low-fat frozen yogurt or vanilla ice cream- 1-cup 
  • Ground cinnamon – 1/8 tbsp
Method: 

Cut bananas lengthwise. Melt butter in the nonstick skillet and add brown sugar. Put banana slices on top of it and cook 20 minutes. Now add orange juice, cinnamon and cook again for 10 seconds.

Now flip the banana and cook for 1 min, basting with the sauce. Your caramelized banana is ready to serve. Serve it with a scoop of frozen yogurt or vanilla ice-cream.

5. Banana And Chocolate French Toast:

This delicious stuffed banana and chocolate toast looked so yummy and tasty. You kid will never say no to this yummy toast. 

You Will Need:
  •  Low-fat milk – ¼ cup
  •  Vanilla extract – ¾  tbsp
  • Sugar- ½ tbsp
  •  Eggs, lightly beaten – 2
  • Salt – 1/8 tbsp
  • 6 slices of whole-grain bread
  •  Canola oil – 2 tbsp
  • 1 cup thinly sliced banana
  •  Powdered sugar- 1 ½ tbsp
Method:

Mix milk, egg, sugar, salt & Vanilla extract in a shallow dish. Now spread Nutella on each bread slices and add banana slices on each bread slice and put another slice of bread on top of it.

Now heat a non-stick skillet over medium flame and take a dip one sandwich slip into the milk mixture and place in the skillet. Cook the sandwich until light brown in color. Now cut the sandwich into 4 triangles. Your French toast is ready to serve.
